THE WORK · FREE

You were never meant to be tame.

The world is designed to make women keep themselves small and manageable. To build their own cages. But you can feel her in there, the one you were before, screaming to get out.

FERAL is your guide back to her. Everything here is free. That’s not generosity, it’s the argument: the whole self-help trade runs on charging frightened people for their own reassurance, and this is the opposite of that, on purpose.

HOW IT WORKS

The Skulk

A skulk is what you call a group of foxes. It’s the name for the company that gathers around this work: readers, thinkers, women operating on their own terms.

Read and talk — free

The writing lands on Substack as Dispatches from The Skulk. The conversation is open to everyone. No tier, no wall, no asking.

The monthly room — for supporters

Once a month I’m live on a call with whoever wants to come, to talk things through together. That’s the one thing I charge a small amount for, because it’s the one thing that costs me time you can’t get back. Want in and money’s tight? Say so, and you’re in anyway.

THE THINKING BEHIND IT

Old idea. New evidence.

The one true claim under all of this is ancient: the only thing you finally govern is your own interior, and what you need is already in there. James Allen wrote it. Emmet Fox wrote it. The Stoics wrote it long before either.

What’s new is that we can now say how it works rather than merely that it does: attention, appraisal, the state of the nervous system. FERAL takes the serious core of that tradition back from the people who turned it into a sales pitch. Spiritual in the broad sense. Not religious, not preachy, and never woo.
